Gretchen Fenston is a milliner, costume designer, and curator living in New York City. Her work has been featured in many print and online publications, such as Humans of New York, The Sartorialist, Vogue, Women's Wear DailyRacked, New York Magazine’s The Cut, and Bill Cunningham’s distinguished On The Street and Evening Hours columns in the Style section of The New York Times

With a Master's degree in Museum Studies for Costume and Textiles from FIT, Gretchen's career has spanned three decades. She has won three milliner of the year "Milli" awards from the Headwear Information Bureau and her hats can be found in the costume collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Kent State University Museum, and Hermitage Museum in NJ. 

Gretchen has become a be-hatted fixture at both the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island and New York's Easter Parade, which she attends yearly with a group of models sporting her latest headwear.
